To ensure proper refilling of your lighter, follow these steps: First, release all tank pressure and excess air from the lighter by gently pressing on the inlet valve with a XIKAR Tune Up Tool (not included) while holding the lighter upside down. Second, hold the refill can upside down to allow the butane to go to the bottom and the propellant to rise to the top, pushing the butane out. Avoid shaking the refill can. Third, put the nozzle of the refill can in the valve and press and hold to fill the lighter. Wait for 5 minutes before using the lighter to allow it to stabilize and warm up.
